Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the result. McNairy County Criminal History does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email message may be kept long enough to answer and manage the exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive basic technical information when a visitor loads a page:
- Page-view dates and times
- Visited pages and the time spent on them
- Device type and operating system
- Browser name and version
- The referring website, when available
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
McNairy County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It provides general directions to records held by the McNairy County Sheriff's Office, Circuit Court Clerk, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not combined into consumer reports or dossiers about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the site's search boxes. Information submitted through a box is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this one. Each provider decides how long it keeps data and when it shares data. Review those terms before running a query because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the McNairy County government, Tennessee agencies, court resources, legal-aid organizations, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read that policy before providing personal information.
Some advertising companies may measure activity across websites to select ads. Such tracking occurs through their systems, not ours.
